Udumula Sudhakar Reddy
‘Chattisgarh Chirutalu’ is the new anti naxal private army group that came into the limelight after the murder of rights activist Mr. Ganti Prasadam.
The group is believed to have been formed in retaliation to the murders of Congress leader Mr. V C Shukla, Salwa Judum founder Mr. Mahendra Karma and police officials in Chattisgarh during the recent Maoist attacks.
The suspected renegade naxal group has sent a warning letter to eliminate revolutionary writers Vara Vara Rao, Varalakshmi and others. Chattisgarh chiruthala is formed on the lines of Fear Vikas, Green Tigers, Nalladandu, Red Tigers, Tirumala Tigers, Palnadu Tigers, Kakatiya Cobras, Narsa Cobras, Nallamalla Nallatrachu (Cobras) and Kranthi Sena the erstwhile gangs involved in the murders of civil rights activists.
Revolutionary writer Mr. Vara Vara Rao alleged that Chattisgarh Chirutalu  is part of ‘Andhra model’ of dealing with Maoists.
“These armies either consisting of private persons or police in mufti were first formed during former Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu’s rule. Similar groups are behind several murders since then.  In Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s rule after the killing of Maktal Congress legislator Narsi Reddy in Mahabubnagar district in retaliation Narsa cobras was formed. These Narsa cobras killed three civil rights activists including M Prasad of Kula Nirmulana Porata Samithi and  Kanakachari,” said Vara Vara Rao.
He added ,”Ganti Prasadam was waylaid and murdered. Revolutionary Writers Assciation Varalakshmi was trying to print a memorial book for him. Chattisgarh Chiruthalu has sent a letter threatening that they shall kill her in Proddutur and also warned of indirect life threat to us,”
Tirumala Tigers was formed after the attack on then chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on October 2003 at Alipiri, at the Tirumala foothills. Among the oldest is Green Tigers, formed in the then Naxal base of North Telangana in 1994.  Green tigers pumped bullets into Gaddar and made an attempt on his life.
A senior IPS official of police department denying the allegations said cops have no role in the murders of civil rights activists. “We never indulge in these kinds of activities. We don’t who are behind this group Chattisgarh Chiruthalu. Nellore police are investigating the murder of Ganti Prasadam,”
