In connection with multi crore Emaar-APIIC township scam Enforcement
Directorate on Friday took possession of 19 plots in Boulder Hills including that of film
star Ram Charan Teja and former cricketer V Chamundeswaranath.

The total book value of the properties taken into possession under Prevention of Money
Laundering Act would be Rs 72 crore but the market value will be much higher according to
sources. ED officials lead by Hyderabad Joint Director Mr. N Sridhar has executed the
possession taking process at Emaar Hills Township at Boulder Hills in Manikonda of
Gatchibowli. Four other properties of EHTPL in Delhi were also taken into possession.
Out of 19 plots most of them are in the fictitious companies and individuals and are
unsold.
CBI in its chargesheet earlier said that film actor Ramcharan Teja son of Union Minister
K Chiranjeevi earlier purchased Plot number B-30 to an extent of 1545 square yards. CBI
has earlier recorded the statement of Ramcharan Teja.
An official said ,”Ram Charan has purchased the plot by making the payment. But
registration is not done in his name and still held on document by EHTPL. As it is unsold
this plot has been attached and taken into possession. Even that of former cricketer
Chamundeswarinath and one Madani are also taken into possession,”
V Chamundeswaranath has purchased three plots then but out of which B-44 measuring 1458
square yards is not transferred in his name though he paid money.

ED official said ,”All those concerned with 19 properties are hereby prohibited and
restrained from transferring or charging the properties by sale, gift, mortgage, pledge
or otherwise in any manner and all persons are restrained from buying or receiving them
too,” The key allegation against EHTPL is that though the plots are sold at Rs 50,000 per
square yard only Rs 5000 was remitted into the accounts thus causing huge loss to the
government partner AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation.
The residential land spread over 25,810 square yards identified by CBI as belonging to
fictitious companies of EHTPL was attached provisionally by ED on 2012 September by the
Additional director under section 5(1) of PMLA. Adjudicating Authority for PMLA based at
Delhi has confirmed the attachment order in February 2013.  After due process ED has now
taken the possession of the immovable properties under section 8(4) of PMLA.
Two plots purchased by Stylish Homes Private Limited A 21, B 28 was also attached and
taken into possession.  B 28 was booked in 2009 in the name of Mr Prasanth Koneru son of
Koneru Prasad. Chamundeswaranath claimed that he purchased them at the rate of Rs 5000
per square yard.
ED attached the plots in the name of  Delhi and Kerala based fictitious companies
identified as Eco Agrotech, Navgrah Realcon Private Limited, Kingstar Realcom private
limited, Crave Infotech, Frolic Construction, Unicorn Infocom, Proma Professional
Solution, Stamp Comp Consultancy, Kingstar Realcom, Crave Infotech. In the investigation
it was found the properties are purchased in the name of the companies which have been
floated with the names of employees of MGF private Limited at Delhi.
