Cash-for-vote scam: Forensic report to nail accused : ACB seeks copy; investigation will pick up, say sources

The Forensic Science Laboratory on Thursday submitted a detailed report in the ACB special court related not only to the conversations that were aired on TV channels, but also several others that reportedly nails the accused in the cash-for-vote scam.

The report revealed several aspects of the conspiracy behind the scam, according to sources.
The ACB had filed a memo in the special court seeking a copy of the report filed by the FSL.  The investigation into the scam is likely to pick up pace, according to ACB sources.

A FSL officials said, “All recordings have been deciphered. The conversations and contents are decoded. The report is detailed with text messages transcribed between the accused and conspirators.”

ACB sources said that the phone recordings clearly indicated that the accused — TD MLA A. Revanth Reddy, Bishop Harry Sebastian and Jerusalem Mattaiah — had taken the names of several people who actually developed the strategy in the MLC elections.

“There are several names that have come up in the conversations. We will take a call after going through the detailed report of FSL which we are likely to get hand on Friday,” said an ACB official. Top police officials met CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday and briefed him on the developments.
