Two cases of terror strikes registered by Saroornagar and Malakpet
police are likely to be transferred to National Investigation Agency. The Counter
intelligence, the anti-terror agency of state police will be assisting NIA. Hyderabad
Commissioner of police Mr. Anurag Sharma said”the cases are still with local police and
are likely to be transferred to NIA”. He added no suspects are detained so far in
connection with the blasts.
Special teams of city and Cyberabad police formed to investigate the blasts conducted
searches in lodges and house in the radius of few kilometres around the Dilshuknagar
blast site to verify whether the suspects stayed in the past few months. Police are also
reconstructing the crime scene with the versions of eye witnesses who told that they saw
a man parking the cycle and left the spot in hurry on Thursday evening. This was tallied
with another eye witness who said he found a group of suspects who left the area a few
minutes before the blast.
Cyberabad police who formed four teams to crack one of the blasts has sought the help of
public in cracking the case. Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Mr Ch D Tirumala Rao said,”
we will give a reward up to Rs 20 lakh to those who give us information on the suspects and also
keep it confidetial. We have intensified the investigation. I am confident that we can
crack the case. So far we haven’t arrested any. We are working on some leads. Those who
have taken a wrong path in the society are resorting to these kinds of attacks,”
Interestingly the bomb went off a few minutes after Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Mr.
Anurag Sharma left the Dilshuknagar Sai Baba temple after Thursday worship.
Complainant Mr G Anand 35 a trader a resident of Dwarakapuri Colony in Saroornagar
blast(the second blast that took place at 7.05pm) case(crime number 146/2013) said ,”I
heard huge sound in front of a mirchi shop beside Anand tiffin centre at Rajiv Chowk.
When I went there I found smoke all around the vicinity. Later I saw dead bodies
scattered in the area,”
Saroornagar police booked a case under criminal conspiracy(120B), causing hurt(324IPC),
causing hurt using dangerous weapons(326 IPC), 307(attempt to murder0, 320 IPC(murder),
124(A)(Sedition) 153 A(promoting enmity between wire) 201(disappearing of evidence) read
with 120 B(criminal conspiracy), section 3 & 5 of explosive substances act and section
16, 17 and 18 of Unlawful activities prevention act.
In Malakpet bomb blast case the complaint Mr Shaik Jani Pasha an APSRTC bus driver said
,’aorund 7.00 pm I crossed the road towards bys stop close to Venkatadri theatre to have
soft drink in a bakery. I heard two deafening sound one after the other,” In the second
case police didn’t add Unlawful activities prevention act. They booked the case only
under murder, attempt murder, criminal conspiracy and explosive substances act.
Meanwhile Crime Investigation Department Additional DG Mr T Krishna Prasad along with
bomb experts visited the scene and later he walked up to Sai Baba Temple and then to
Saroornagar police station. He said ,”there are no indications that we are given the
case,”
