In a revelation in the ongoing snoop war between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana police, it has come to light that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana intelligence sleuths, had attended training on lawful interception together in the Czech Republic.
It included remote tapping, interception with hand-held devices and voice-based interception.
The WikiLeaks mails, mentioning the training gain significance in light of allegations that though the Special Intelligence Branch (an anti-Naxal spy agency) and Anti-Terror Counter Intelligence cell were trained to keep surveillance on extremists, they used these techniques for political intelligence.
