Following the orders of Kolkata NIA court to attach properties of Top Maoists including its supreme Ganapathy alias Muppala Lakshman Rao in arms haul case revenue and police officials of the State plunged into action. Only one of the four top Maoists identified as Balamuri Narayana Rao alias Prabhakar of Beerpur in Karimnagar is found to own properties and they are attached. One acre 73 kuntas of agriculture land of Narayana Rao was attached.
Three other top Maoists Ganapathy, Central Technical Development Committee head Tippiri Tirupati alias Deoji and CPI Maoist Central Military Commission chief Nambala Keshava Rao alias Basavaraj do not possess any property when revenue and police officials checked the records and enquired in their villages. NIA court at Kolkata has issued attachment orders under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act for the four top Maoists from Karimnagar and Srikakulam district involved in arms haul case of 2012 in Jorasanko police station in West Bengal. Then Kolkata Special Task Force and AP Special Intelligence Branch cracked the arms manufacturing units run Maoists Central Technical Committee lead by Sadanala Ramakrishna in which rocket launchers and cash was seized.
Sarangapur Sub Inspector of Police Mr. D Ganga Reddy said,”when we checked Muppala Lakshman Rao’s properties in Beerpu there are no assets registered in his name. A dilapidated house is in the registered in the name of his brother. So it was not attached. Regarding Narayana Rao we have attached one acre 37 kuntas of land. The Mandal Revenue officer was present,”
Korutla SI of police Mr Anil Kumar said that there are no properties in the name of Thippiri Tirupati a native of Ambedkarnagar in Korutla.
Kotabommali SI of police Mr. K Venkateswara Rao said,”I along with the MRO and other revenue officials visited the Jiyannapet in Kotabommali and checked the records and as well as with the family members and locals. There are no properties in his name. When he was arrested and lodged in jail in 1980s his family members went to him regarding sharing of properties. When he told them he wants to give away his properties to orphanage they resisted it and then he gave no objection,”
NIA has filed chargesheet against in crime number 138.2012 of Jorasanko PS and re-registered as RC -1/2012 under criminal conspiracy, waging war against nation, collecting arms to wage war against nation, Arms Act, Explosive substance act and Unlawful Activities(Prevention) Act.
A cash 96 lakh rupees as the Proceeds of Terrorism, Prohibited Ammunition, Explosive Materials, Maoist Literatures, Several Diagrams and Literature on Rocket Launchers and on other area Weapons, Documents connected with the transport of components and assembly tools and materials to Raipur, Chhattisgarh from Kolkata and Mumbai, and several finished components of Rocket Launchers and other area weapons including sixty nine wooden
crates at a godown in Raipur are recovered from a workshop established by the accused in
Maoist Sadhana Ramakrishna has confessed to the police that they have improvised rocket launchers, rocket propelled grenades and spare parts for about 3000 rockets.
