Confessions of arrested Maoist cadres to intelligence sleuths in the
State has revealed that a ‘mystery doctor’ believed to be hailing from Kashmir or
Uttarpradesh in Dandakarnya has been treated injured and sick Maoists and the militia
members.
Sources in the State police said that the doctor can even perform surgeries and they are
verifying whether he is 'Dr. Rafique' alias Vikas who is heading Dandakaranya medical
team. Police are now working on to track the roots of the doctor who travels widely
within the forest regions in Chattisgarh to serve the outlawed left wing extremists.
A police official said ,” He is part of underground cadre of Maoists. The doctor
is revered as god by locals. In Maad area the Maoist headquarters the doctor plays a key
role in providing medical services. The Maoist cadres arrested revealed that he had big
beard and some claimed he has come from Pakistan. His particulars and background are
still not known. How did he come to this place is still a mystery?”
Dandakarnya Special Zoal Committee that runs a parallel government in Chattisgarh has
several wings like Janathan sarkar lead by Kishanji’s wife Kalpana. It also consists of
Mobile political school, military mobile school, mobile academic school, DK Communication
department, Chetana Natya Manch, DK press team and DK Medical team. DK Press team is
being lead by GV K Prasad alis Usendi.
