For the first time in the city, snake eggs are artificially
incubated by the Friends of Snake Society with the help of forest officials and the ten
snakelets (hatchlings) are released into KBR Park on Saturday. Snakes that are rescued
and kept at the centre in Sainikpuri laid eggs and usually they fail to hatch as there
are no natural breeding facilities for them.
An incubator brought from US is used now to hatch the eggs of Banded Racer snake
incubated successfully at Friends of Snakes Society. It's a non poisonous snake.
The society’s coordinator Mr Partha Sarathi Durga said,”A gravid Banded Racer snake was
rescued by the organization two months ago and the snake was relocated with the help of
the AP Forest Department within three days. however, during its brief stay at the
facility, the snake laid 15 eggs in one of the enclosure. The eggs were separated and
incubated in an incubator that the organization recently procured. The eggs hatched after
a period of 55 days, during which care was taken to choose an appropriate substrate,
maintain a constant conducive temperature and humidity. In the wild, fungal growth,
fluctuations in temperature and humidity, infertility of the eggs, egg eating predators
could be few influencing factors that greatly decrease the hatching success rate,”
Throughout the period, the temperature was maintained around 28 to 30 degree Celsius and
the humidity was maintained around 80 percent. Out of the 15 eggs laid by the snake, 4
turned out to be infertile and out of the 11 remaining eggs, 10 were successfully hatched
leading the success rate at more than 90 percent. The ten hatchlings were released at KBR
Park by DFO K. Mohan (wildlife management Division) Hyderabad.

Four top Maoists of the country including Ganapathy alias Muppala
Lakshman Rao head of the Central Committee were declared wanted proclaimed offenders for
National Investigation agency in connection with major arms haul case.
Three of them hail from Andhra Pradesh and one from Chattisgarh. Central Military
Commission chief Nambala Keshava Rao and Central Technical Development Committee
chairman Tippiri Tirupati alias Deoji are wanted for NIA in connection with nationwide
arms haul case unearthed by Special Intelligence Branch of AP police and Kolkata police
in joint operation.
On March 1 in 2012 a case was registered with Jorasanko in Kolkata of West Bengal and it
was transferred to NIA with the an allegation that the accused members of banned outfit
entered into a criminal conspiracy to wage war against the government and collected
explosive substances and prohibited ammunition and huge money. Case was also booked under
Explosive Substance Act and Unlawful Activities prevention act apart from the regular
Indian Penal Code sections.
Ganapathy hails from Birpur village in Sarangapur mandal of Karimnagar district and is 63 year old, Basavaraj alias Nambala Keshava Rao is 58 year old and hails from Kotabommali
mandal in Srikakulam district, Deoji alias Thippiri Tirupati aged 51 hails from Korutla
in Karimnagar district and Somaji alias Sahdev hails from Bande in Kanker district of
Chattisgarh.
NIA has chargesheeted Sadanala Rama of Karimnagar and four other arrested accused in the
case earlier. Cash of Rs 96.66 lakh the proceeds of Terrorism, Prohibited Ammunition,
Explosive Materials, Maoist Literatures, Several Diagrams and Literature on Rocket
Launchers and on other area Weapons were recovered from the accused.
Documents connected with the transport of components and assembly tools and materials to
Raipur, Chhattisgarh from Kolkata and Mumbai, and several finished components of Rocket
Launchers and other area weapons including sixty nine wooden crates at a godown in Raipur
were recovered from them.
The Central Technical Committee (CTC) renamed as Technical Research Arms Manufacturing
Unit (TRAM) in the year 2005 which set up units in Pune Rourkela, Indore, Bhopal and
Bhubaneswar in the close supervision and guidance of Sadhanala Ramakrishna.
The Maoist unit was busted when spare parts for 1000 rockets were being shifted to
Dandakaranya.
The report says that the Indian Mujahideen is an offshoot of Asif Raza Commando Force
inspired by IMMM. Amir Raza Khan(brother of Asif Raza), Iqbal Bhatkal and Riyaz Bhatkal
are said to be the founder members of IM. With active support and guidance of Lashkar e
toiba they built small and highly effective army of home grown terrorists.

Indian Mujahideen the home grown terrorist group involved in several bomb blasts across
the country including the recent Dilshuknagar twin blasts had attracted several educated
youth by highlighting the atrocities against the community including 2002 communal riots
in Gujarat. The confidential report of Octopus an anti terror agency of AP police
revealed that though the foot soldiers, handlers and founders of Indian Mujahideen are
all from the country it is the plan of Pakistan’s Lashkar E Taiba to prevent leading of
terror trial to Pakistan. The handlers the Riyaz and Iqbal Bhatkal are said to be hiding
in Karachi in Pakistan now.
The report says that the Indian Mujahideen is an offshoot of Asif Raza Commando Force

“The initial recruits were children of the prosperous, but socially conservative, urban
middle class families from Azamgarh. Almost all operatives belonging to Azamgarh studied
together in school and several of them went to New Delhi for higher studies in business
administration, computers and media,” says a Counter Intelligence official of State

active guidance and support from ISI. Once the trained recruits from Pakistan return to
India. They were fed with explosives and other matierals. They were series of blasts at
Varanasi, Shramjeevi Express, Delhi, Mumbai, Gorakhpur, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Delhi and
Ahmdeabad,”
In 2005 and 2006 while a group was executing serial blasts in India Riyaz Bhatkal was
busy forming logistic support based in his native Bhatkal areas and readying another
group for similar activities in South India. The other group that was readied at Pune,
later on carried twin blasts in Hyderabad in 2007 and attempted serial blasts at Surat in
2008. While the serial blasts were being executed IM developed a small IT savvy tam which
could spread the ideology. Riyaz Bhatkal tapped educated people with skills in software
and good English. Over a period IM expertise the making of IEDs using locally available
materials.
IM operative Mohammed Akbar Ismail Choudary alias Sayeed 29 a mobile repairer and
resident of Kondwa in Pune who was chargesheeted by AP police in Gokul Chat and Lumbini
Park blast in his Interrogation Report revealed that he was initially asked to attend
religious discourses, then Arabic lessons.“Riyan Bhatkal slowly started taking about
Jihad. Then they took us to Chikamngalur near Bengaluru and in a farm house were taught
about explosives. Later we came to know about blasts in Mecca Masjid and it is the
handiwork of other community. Many innocent Muslims are killed in the firing and we
should take revenge of this. Riyaz also told about one Mujahed saleem of Hyderabad who is
his friend and he was killed in Gujarat police firing in front of DGPs office,” the
accused Akbar revealed to police.
Another arrested terror suspect Mr. Farooq Sharfuddin Tarkash ”we discussed about the
arrest of Moulana Naseeruddin by Gujarat police from Hyderabad and harassment of Muslims
in Hyderabad and Guajrat riots. Bhatkal brothers said they wanted to do justice and
sought my support. They also told us about atrocities against Muslims in Iraq Palestine and other parts of the world. I later attended a religious programme. I used give Rs 1000
every mot Mohammed Bhai (Iqbal Bhatkal) ten per cent of my salary for the activities,”

Mumbai..”we are basically from Azamghar and shifted to Mumbai 40 years ago. I joined SIMI
in 1996 .Riyaz Bhatkal used to attend the meetings. One Mujahid Saleem from AP met me in
Cheetah camp and I told him I wanted to do something. I used to be in touch with Asif
Reza Khan in 2001. I also met Aftab Ansari. Later I crossed the borders and went to
Karachi and I got trained in LeT camp in Baitul Mujahideen. In 2002 I returned to India.
The Hyderabad blasts by Riyaz Bhatkal group are a revenge for Mecca Masjid blasts.
Mohammed Mansoor Peerbhoy a principal software engineer in Yahoo a resident of Pune in
his confession to police ”I did my computers BE in VIT college in Pune. I started
attending Arabic classes in 2004. Later in 2007 January Riyaz Bhatkal met me and said
that there is need of software engineers in his activities. In March 2007 he took me to a
fort in Simhagad near Pune where some persons were practising with lathis and swrods. He
said they are all Bajarangdal activists. He said we should be similarly trained and had
to be active to tackle them. Later Riyaz funded for my computer course in 2007 in
Hyderabad. While I was attending the course there was blast in May 18 in 2007 in Mecca
Masjid blast. I went to the spot but they didn’t allow us inside. Locals told that
several Muslims were dead and several of them were injured. I went to hospital todonate
blood they didn’t allow me. I took it very emotional, Later I hacked wi fi network to
send IM blast claim mails to media organisations,”

Indian Mujahideen terror operatives stayed in 2007 Dilshuknagar
revealed the Interrogation reports of accused in Gokul Chat and Lumbini Park blast cases.
It is also found that Dilshuknagar was on terror list and reconnaissance was done several
times by IM operatives including in 2007 and 2012.
Mohammed Naveed alias Naveed a graduate from Gandhinagar in Narayanpet in Mahabubnagar
gave shelter to the IM operatives from Pune in his room the IR’s revealed. Investigating
agencies then couldn’t establish any links of Naveed to IM and he had given them shelter
only on request of one his relatives from Maharasthra.
Interestingly another terror suspect Mansoor Peerbhoy who was arrested in 2007 twin
blasts in his confession told "Riyaz Bhatkal told me that that some local youth in
Hyderabad are also part of his group". However cops haven't identified any IM operative
in the city so far.
“So far we haven’t come across any active member of Indian Mujahideen in Hyderabad city.
But some of the youth are under scanner for their assistance like giving shelter to them.
In fact Maqbool was hiding in city to avoid arrest. We are trying to identify who gave
shelter to him,”
One of the terror suspects who planted un exploded bomb in 2007 at Dilshuknagar Akbar
Ismail Choudary revealed in his IR “I joined computer institute at Ameerpet as false name
as Vinod Patil. After the classes as per the instruction of Riyaz we used to roam in the
city and conduct reconnaissance of place of huge public gathering. We visited NTR
gardens, Dilshuknagar, Ameerpet, Cikkadapally , Secunderabad and other areas where crowds
gather in large number. Riyaz himself came to the city and identified some of the areas.
Along with him we went to Dilshuknagar, Chaderghat, Koti, Charminar, Lumbini park and
other places. It was Riyaz who finalised Gokul Chat, Boat in Hussainsagar and
Dilshuknagar as targets. However last minute the bomb couldn’t be placed in boat and it
was planted in laser show in Lumbini park,”

It's Africans after Arabs now involved in Sham marriages in old city.
A 45 year old Sudan national was arrested by Moghalpura police on Thursday evening for
marrying a minor girl under contract marriage without her consent and tried to molest
her. The 17 year old girl resisted to live with him and she was forcible taken to a
‘vasikaran baba’.
The arrested Sudanese was identified as Osama Ibrahim 45 son of Ibrahim Mohammed a
resident of Khartoum the capital city of Sudan. He is working as structural engineer with
Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company. The accused paid Rs one lakh including Rs
30,000 to the mediators and Rs 70,000 the parents of the girl for the contract marriage.
Moghalpura inspector of Police Mr. P Vijay Kumar said ,”One Mr Ahmed Yahiya another
engineer working with his company who did similar contract marriage in the city informed
his friend Ibrahim who came to city on February 19 on tourist visa. Yahiya introduced him
to one Mumtaz the maternal aunt of the victim girl. She acted as mediator. On February 21
marriage was performed. However due to Dilshuknagar blasts police were checking on the
roads so he went out of the home as she refused to live with him,”
The victim girl said ,”I was not aware of it. They just force me and when I came to know
it is a marriage I refused and lodged complaint,”
The marriage will last for 40 days. “After that he promised to pay another Rs 1 lakh as
meher. We have booked a case under 366(kidnapping a girl to compel her to marry)
354(outraging the modesty of the women) read with 34 IPC(common intention) and section 3
and 9 of Prohibition of Child marriage act. The girl studied only up to eight class. Her
mother is a housewife and her father is petty worker,” said inspector of police Vijay
Kumar.
He added case is also booked against a khaji who performed the marriage. “On February 23
they took the girl to vasikaran baba but the girl refused to go with him. Later they
tried to obtained fake age certificate from GHMC by manipulating the records but couldn’t
succeed. They wanted to perform a regular nikhanama. They went to GHMC on February 25.
The accused was staying in Hotel Crystal Banjara in road number 1 in Banjara hills,”
Police said the mediator Mumtaz is made accused number 2 and another mediator Mr Mohammed
Hasan Bawajir is made accused number 3. ‘parents of the girl Ayesha Begum and Mohammed
Yousuf are made accused 4 and 5. The khaji Mohammed naseeruddi jehangir is made the
accused number 6,”
Police said in 2012 a similar case where a Sudanese national was arrested for raping a
woman along with his friend after the marriage was booked. The accused was shifted to
Chanchalaguda jail.
