Four top Maoists including Ganapathy wanted by NIA

Four top Maoists of the country including Ganapathy alias Muppala 
Lakshman Rao head of the Central Committee were declared wanted proclaimed offenders for 
National Investigation agency in connection with major arms haul case.
Three of them hail from Andhra Pradesh and one from Chattisgarh. Central Military 
Commission chief  Nambala Keshava Rao and Central Technical Development Committee 
chairman Tippiri Tirupati alias Deoji are wanted for NIA in connection with nationwide 
arms haul case unearthed by Special Intelligence Branch of AP police and Kolkata police 
in joint operation.
On March 1 in 2012 a case was registered with Jorasanko in Kolkata of West Bengal and it 
was transferred to NIA with the an allegation that the accused members of banned outfit 
entered into a criminal conspiracy to wage war against the government and collected 
explosive substances and prohibited ammunition and huge money. Case was also booked under 
Explosive Substance Act and Unlawful Activities prevention act apart from the regular 
Indian Penal Code sections.
Ganapathy hails from Birpur village in Sarangapur mandal of Karimnagar district and is 63 year old, Basavaraj alias Nambala Keshava Rao is 58 year old and hails from Kotabommali 
mandal in Srikakulam district, Deoji alias Thippiri Tirupati aged 51 hails from Korutla 
in Karimnagar district and Somaji alias Sahdev hails from Bande in Kanker district of 
Chattisgarh.
NIA has chargesheeted Sadanala Rama of Karimnagar and four other arrested accused in the 
case earlier. Cash of Rs 96.66 lakh the proceeds of Terrorism, Prohibited Ammunition, 
Explosive Materials, Maoist Literatures, Several Diagrams and Literature on Rocket 
Launchers and on other area Weapons were recovered from the accused.
 Documents connected with the transport of components and assembly tools and materials to 
Raipur, Chhattisgarh from Kolkata and Mumbai, and several finished components of Rocket 
Launchers and other area weapons including sixty nine wooden crates at a godown in Raipur 
were recovered from them.
The Central Technical Committee (CTC) renamed as Technical Research Arms Manufacturing 
Unit (TRAM) in the year 2005 which set up units in Pune Rourkela, Indore, Bhopal and 
Bhubaneswar in the close supervision and guidance of Sadhanala Ramakrishna.
The Maoist unit was busted when spare parts for 1000 rockets were being shifted to 
Dandakaranya.
